The project partner CIMALUX S. A. will support actions 3 and 4 with its expertise in the field of cement mineralogy and cement additions. In addition, it will contribute to the necessary chemical analyses.

 

Cloos SA

CLOOS supplies aggregates to the construction sector within the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and the Great Region. Historically, CLOOS was focused on the recycling of slag blast furnace from steel industry, but over the years, CLOOS has diversified his activities: today, CLOOS recycles demolition materials, operates four quarries in the Greater Region and landfills for inert waste.

Our contribution to the CO2REDES project could be to provide the needed primary material, especially from our quarry of limestone.

 

Contern – Lëtzebuerger Beton Open

Produce new products on base of substitute materials developed in the project from quarry waste (sludge washing, scalping products) or deposits abandoned.

 

EQIOM

Brings its experience and expertise as a cement company to the realization of standardized tests on mortars and concrete for formulations envisaged by the partners.

 

Gebr. Arweiler GmbH & Co. KG

Owns clayey gravel sludge from sand and gravel extraction as well as highly clayey mine tailings. These are deposited on the plant premises and are available to the project for testing.

 

Kies Bandemer & Co., Eifel-Quarz-Werke GmbH

Owns clayey gravel sludge from sand and gravel extraction. These are deposited on the plant premises and are available to the project for testing.

 

Rech Kies-GmbH

Owns clayey gravel sludge from sand and gravel extraction as well as highly clayey mine tailings. These are deposited on the plant premises and are available to the project for testing.

 

 

Société des Travaux de la Vezouze

Supplies two washing sludges and a natural clay. Adjust the production process to the needs of the project. Tests the production of precast concrete elements incorporating the elaborated additions.

 

Tradecowall

Tradecowall is a cooperative company active in the treatment and recovery of waste from the construction sector. Tradecowall is active in the management of excavated soil and the recycling of concrete, brick, tile and ceramic waste. It aims to promote the reuse of inert materials, in particular through the manufacture of high quality recycled aggregates.

 

Vicat

Vicat has been a cement producer since 1854. Innovation in the binder sector is continuous and leads the group to explore all the possibilities for lowering the clinker content of its cements. The R&D Directorate is looking in particular at: all natural resources and co-products with pouzzolanic activity. Olive tree Martinage, an R&D engineer, has developed cement with natural pouzzolanes and proceeded to their industrialization at the Créchy plant. Vicat will bring its expertise in the characterization of potential cement additions provided by some of the project partners and will analyse their potential for incorporation at the unit level of production of Xeuilley.

 

Saint-Gobain – Mortars division Saint-Gobain Weber

Our contribution to the project is to find, analyse and test demolition waste or other industrial by products used in our mortars.
